Background – Horse & Groom Pub
The COVID-19 outbreak prompted pub owners John and Ruth to consider the space at their pub’s frontage. A temporary structure allowed them to extend their covers for wet sales as well as food orders.
Challenge
A sympathetic marquee was needed to complement the historic pub building. The client also had limited space and so wanted to avoid guy ropes. They wanted to be able to easily relocate the structure if required. This tent was to be designed, made and installed to attract Christmas 2020 business; all in a matter of weeks!
BARKERS Marquees solution
We designed, made and installed a bespoke, timber framed marquee with double peaked roof. The roof and walls were made using white, ‘textured’ PVC – as this fabric looks like canvas, but is much easier to clean and keep looking fresh. Large window walls allowed light into the structure and pub building behind. This structure can be easily re-located, if required.
Our client said; ‘A big thank for our marquee – we are delighted with it and so happy that it was completed on time’.
